Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP and Max Win96.50% return, a 15,000x cap — and what 100 bonus buys paid
The Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP is 96.50% — the same in normal play and with the ante bet — and 96.49% on the bonus buy. The max win is 15,000x your bet: C$3,000 at C$0.20, C$15,000 at C$1, C$1,500,000 at C$100. Below we turn both numbers into Canadian dollars and show what 100 bonus buys and 3,000 spins in the official demo actually paid.

Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP: 96.50% Explained
RTP — return to player — is the share of all money staked that the game pays back over a very long run of spins. The Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP is printed on the game's own rules screen: 96.50% for the base game, 96.50% with the ante bet switched on, and 96.49% when you use Buy Free Spins. In Canadian dollars, 96.50% means that across millions of spins the game returns C$96.50 for every C$100 wagered; the remaining C$3.50 is the house edge.

That figure describes the long run, not your session. A high-volatility slot pays a large share of its 96.50% through rare, heavy rounds, so 100 or 500 spins can land far above or far below it. That is exactly why the free spins round feels the way it does: a quiet stretch, then a round that pays for the evening.
| Mode | RTP | House edge | Returned per C$100 over the long run |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal spins | 96.50% | 3.50% | C$96.50 |
| Ante bet (25x) | 96.50% | 3.50% | C$96.50 |
| Buy Free Spins (100x) | 96.49% | 3.51% | C$96.49 |
The Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP sits on par with the 2021 original, which also runs at 96.50%. What changed in the 1000 is how the return is distributed: a bigger top orb (1,000x instead of 500x) and a cap three times higher pull more of the 96.50% into the largest rounds.
What 96.50% Means for a C$100 Session
The Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP is a long-run average, so it helps to translate it into turnover rather than into a promise. If you play 100 spins at C$1, you stake C$100; over millions of such sessions the game would hand back C$96.50 of every C$100. Your one session will not land on that number — a high-volatility game spreads its return unevenly, and most of it arrives through the free spins round.
| Bet | Spins | Total staked | Long-run return at 96.50% | Long-run house edge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| C$0.20 | 500 | C$100 | C$96.50 | C$3.50 |
| C$0.50 | 200 | C$100 | C$96.50 | C$3.50 |
| C$1.00 | 100 | C$100 | C$96.50 | C$3.50 |
| C$100 buy | 1 | C$100 | C$96.49 | C$3.51 |
Two practical consequences. First, smaller bets do not change the RTP; they change how many spins — and how many chances at free spins — your budget buys. Second, the bonus buy concentrates the same budget into one high-variance event. Both paths share almost the same Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP; they differ in how the session feels.
Volatility: High, and Built Around Free Spins
The rules screen rates Gates of Olympus 1000 high volatility, and Pragmatic Play's own definition is the clearest one: high-volatility games pay out less often on average, but the chance to hit big wins in a short time span is higher. Our measurements show what that means at the table:
- A win landed on 29.0% of 1,000 base spins — nearly every third spin.
- Free spins triggered naturally 3 times in 1,000 spins of Gates of Olympus 1000 and 8 times across 3,000 spins of the three editions.
- The scatter-triggered rounds were the headline: one paid 113.75x a C$1 bet in the original 1000 and one paid 101.85x in Dice.
If you want the free spins without waiting, the buy brings them on demand for 100x the bet, at an RTP of 96.49%. Our 100 measured buys are below.
Gates of Olympus 1000 Max Win: 15,000x in CAD
The Gates of Olympus 1000 max win is 15,000 times your bet. The rules are precise about how the cap works: if the total win of a round reaches 15,000x, the round ends immediately, the win is paid up to the cap and any remaining free spins or features are forfeited. That applies to base spins and to free spins rounds alike.

What is the max win on Gates of Olympus 1000 in Canadian dollars? Multiply your stake by 15,000:
| Bet per spin | Max win | Bonus buy price |
|---|---|---|
| C$0.20 | C$3,000 | C$20 |
| C$0.50 | C$7,500 | C$50 |
| C$1.00 | C$15,000 | C$100 |
| C$2.00 | C$30,000 | C$200 |
| C$5.00 | C$75,000 | C$500 |
| C$20.00 | C$300,000 | C$2,000 |
| C$100.00 | C$1,500,000 | C$10,000 |
The demo accepts bets up to C$300; casinos set their own ceilings — at 1xBet Canada the game runs from CA$0.20 to CA$125 a spin with the ante included. Whatever the stake, the multiple is the same: 15,000x.
The Cap Only Pays Out for Real
The demo reaches 15,000x on screen and stops there. With a real stake that ceiling becomes Canadian dollars in your account.

The Cap With the Ante Bet On
The ante bet changes how the cap is written, not how much it pays. The 15,000x is counted on the base bet; with ante on, the total stake is 1.25 times that base, so the server's settings describe the same ceiling as 12,000x of the total stake.
| Base bet | Stake with ante | Max win |
|---|---|---|
| C$0.20 | C$0.25 | C$3,000 |
| C$1.00 | C$1.25 | C$15,000 |
| C$4.00 | C$5.00 | C$60,000 |
| C$100.00 | C$125.00 | C$1,500,000 |
The last row is also the top of the range at 1xBet Canada: a CA$100 base bet with ante makes the casino's maximum spin of CA$125.
How Rare Is the Full 15,000x?
Pragmatic Play's server sends the game a configuration block when it loads, and one of its fields is the hit rate of the top win. For Gates of Olympus 1000 it reads 1 in 2,749,771 rounds. That is the probability of reaching the full cap, not of a big win in general — rounds of 100x, 300x and 500x arrive far more often, as our bonus buys show below.
To put 2.7 million in perspective: at 600 spins an hour it is around 4,600 hours of non-stop play. For comparison, the original Gates of Olympus caps at 5,000x with a top-win rate of 1 in 697,350, and the Super Scatter edition lifts the cap to 50,000x at 1 in 666,666,667. The 1000 sits in the sweet spot: a ceiling three times the original's, reachable in a lifetime of play. The Dice and Xmas skins share the 1000's figures exactly; the Gates of Olympus vs Gates of Olympus 1000 page goes through every edition feature by feature.
100 Bonus Buys: What the Demo Actually Paid
Theory says 96.49%. We wanted to see what a real run of buys looks like, so on 11 October 2026 we bought the free spins round 100 times at C$100 (a C$1 bet) in the CAD demo and kept the server's answer for each one. We then recounted every payout ourselves from the grid and the paytable; all hundred matched.
The hundred buys returned C$10,804 for C$10,000 — a lucky run for this sample, since over the long run the buy is set at 96.49%. The best buy paid 579.55x the bet — C$579.55 from a C$100 purchase, almost six times the price. 37 of 100 buys returned the price or more, 17 reached 200x, 9 passed 300x and 3 broke 500x: 579.55x, 523.40x and 503.20x.
| Top 10 buys (x the bet) | C$ at a C$1 bet |
|---|---|
| 579.55x | C$579.55 |
| 523.40x | C$523.40 |
| 503.20x | C$503.20 |
| 393.45x | C$393.45 |
| 375.10x | C$375.10 |
| 335.95x | C$335.95 |
| 330.90x | C$330.90 |
| 309.20x | C$309.20 |
| 301.50x | C$301.50 |
| 297.40x | C$297.40 |

The Multiplier Behind the Big Rounds
Every big result in our sample came from the same engine: the free spins total multiplier. Each orb that lands on a winning free spin is added to it, and it never resets inside the round.
Across the hundred rounds, 483 orbs paid. The most common were x2 (239) and x3 (108); the rarest were the x50 orbs, which landed twice, plus x25 once and x20 twice. The round total reached x10+ in 65 rounds, x20+ in 29 and peaked at x72 — the same round that paid 579.55x.

That is the practical meaning of the Gates of Olympus 1000 max win: the path to 15,000x runs through a high total multiplier meeting a big tumble chain. A round with the meter at x72 needs a chain worth about 208x the bet to hit the cap. Our biggest single chain in the buys paid C$458.85 at C$1 — the pieces are there, and they line up once in roughly 2.7 million rounds.
Three Editions, the Same Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP
The Dice and Xmas 1000 editions share the paytable, the scatters, the 96.50% RTP and the 15,000x cap with the original 1000, and our thousand spins of each confirm it: the results differ only as much as any three random samples do. Across all 3,000 spins, 374 returned the stake or more. Each edition has its own write-up with its orb log and filmed rounds: Gates of Olympus 1000 Dice and Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000.
What the 96.50% Does Not Include
The RTP is the return of the game itself. Pragmatic Play's Drops & Wins prizes are paid on top of it and are not part of the 96.50%: real-money spins enter a daily tournament with a CA$32,000 pool and a weekly wheel drop with multipliers up to 100,000x. Casino bonuses sit outside the RTP too — a 100% deposit match does not change the game's return, it doubles the stake you play it with. That is why the same Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP can be worth more at one casino than at another.
Where the RTP Is the Same: Demo vs Real Money
The demo on our home page loads the same file, the same RTP setting and the same cap as a real-money game. Playing it is the honest way to feel 96.50% and high volatility before you stake your own money. When you are ready, the same rules apply at any casino running the standard Pragmatic Play build — check the RTP line on the game's information page, page 4 of 7, before you spin.
