Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000Zeus in a Santa hat, snow on the gems — the same 15,000x

Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000 is the temple dressed for December: snow on every gem, holly around the logo and Zeus in a Santa hat and fur-trimmed cloak. Under the decorations runs the full 1000 engine — 96.50% RTP, orbs up to 1,000x, 15 free spins with a climbing total and a 15,000x ceiling. Try the free demo in Canadian dollars below. In our measured thousand spins it was the busiest base game of the family: something paid on 30.0% of spins, and 21 orbs landed on winning screens.

What Changed for Christmas

Pragmatic Play redrew the scenery and left every number where it was. In Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000:

  • Snow caps sit on all five gems — red, purple, yellow, green and blue — and on the crown, hourglass, ring and goblet.
  • Zeus wears a Santa hat, a red cloak with white fur and a green jewel on his chest, and he still hurls the multiplier orbs.
  • The scatter is his portrait in the Santa hat.
  • The logo reads "Gates of Olympus X-Mas 1000" under a sprig of holly, and the temple stands in snow.

The server hands this edition the identical settings block it sends to the original 1000, so the RTP figures, the buy price and the cap carry over unchanged. The full breakdown of those numbers is on the Gates of Olympus 1000 RTP and max win page.

Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000 Paytable at C$0.20

Holiday sessions are often small ones, so here the paytable is shown at the lowest stake, C$0.20 a spin. Multiply by five for C$1, by ten for C$2.

At twenty cents, the crown pays C$2 for 8–9 and C$10 for 12 or more, and six Santa scatters pay C$20 on top of starting the free spins. The cap at that stake is C$3,000 — and the 1,000x orb works the same at every bet.

1,000 Spins of Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000

On 11 October 2026 the Xmas edition got its own thousand spins at C$1, recorded round by round alongside the original and Dice; how we record is explained on our who we are page.

Longest tumble chain6

The headline is the base game. The best result of the thousand, C$77.40 from a C$1 spin, came from an ordinary spin: a tumble chain finished under orbs, without free spins. The next biggest were the free spins round at 75.20x, then base wins of 45.60x and 40.00x.

Christmas Orbs: The Base-Game Log

An orb dropped onto 3.3% of the Xmas spins, and 21 of them landed on screens that also won — more than in the original 1000 (18) or Dice (15). Here is every one:

Orb valueTimes it paid
x24
x33
x41
x51
x65
x82
x102
x121
x201
x251

Ten different values in a single sample is the widest spread we logged in any edition, and x6 was the most frequent. Since the three editions share one maths model, the spread is the luck of this sample rather than a festive bonus — but it is the reason the Xmas base game feels lively.

How Big the Xmas Wins Were

A busy base game is only useful if you know what size the wins come in. Here are the thousand Xmas spins sorted by how much each one returned on the C$1 stake:

A spin returned at leastSpinsAt a C$0.20 stake that is
anything300any win
half the stake (0.5x)200C$0.10
the stake (1x)115C$0.20
2x60C$0.40
5x13C$1
10x9C$2
20x4C$4
50x2C$10

Read from the top, the table describes a typical evening: frequent small wins that keep the balance moving, a dozen or so mid-sized hits per thousand spins, and a couple of standout rounds. In this sample the standouts were a 77.40x base spin and the 75.20x free spins round — at a C$0.20 stake, C$15.48 and C$15.04 from a single spin.

Short Chains, Frequent Wins

Xmas paid often but tumbled briefly. Of the 299 spins in which symbols tumbled, 207 ended after one tumble, 51 after two, 23 after three, 13 after four, and only five went further — 3 to five tumbles and 2 to six. Compare that with the original 1000, where one spin in our test ran to ten. More frequent, shorter wins are exactly the pattern a long, steady holiday session is made of.

The Free Spins Round in Xmas 1000

Four or more Santa scatters award 15 free spins, and on the trigger they also pay 3x, 5x or 100x the bet for 4, 5 or 6 of them. Every orb on a winning spin during the round joins the total multiplier, the total never drops, and three more scatters add five spins.

The one round our thousand spins produced shows the mechanism plainly: five orbs paid — x2, x3, x4, x4 and x6 — building the total to x19, and the round closed at C$75.20 on a C$1 stake.

Five Bought Rounds on Film

Five bought rounds of the Gates of Olympus 1000 Xmas demo were filmed on 12 October 2026, each at a C$1 stake and a C$100 price:

Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000 free spins: an x4 orb multiplies a tumble win
An x4 orb early in a bought round of the Xmas edition that closed at 67.75x

The pattern is clear in the table: the payout follows the meter. The round that reached x19 returned more than its price; the rounds stuck at x4–x6 did not. Five buys are far too few to judge a feature that can reach 15,000x — the hundred buys we recorded in the original 1000, same maths, are analysed on the RTP and max win page.

Ante Bet in the Holiday Edition

The ante switch sits under the buy button, as in the original. At the default C$2 stake it raises the spin to C$2.50; at C$0.20 it makes it C$0.25. In exchange, more scatters are placed on the reels and the chance of a natural trigger doubles, while the buy button is greyed out. The RTP stays at 96.50%. For a long December session at small stakes, the ante is the way to meet the Santa-hat scatters more often without paying 100x for a guaranteed round; switch it off whenever you want to buy.

Holiday Promotions Around the Game

Casinos push Christmas slots hardest in December, and this edition is usually on the seasonal banners. The offers at 1xBet Canada run all year, though: a four-step welcome package, 100 free spins for joining the casino's Telegram channel, and a Sunday gift of 20 to 200 free spins for a deposit from 15.9 CAD. Pragmatic Play's Drops & Wins season, running to 3 March 2027, covers the holidays with its CA$32,000 daily tournament. Every condition, converted to CAD, is on our bonus page.

Xmas Among Its Siblings

Pick by mood rather than by maths. The original 1000 is the classic temple, Gates of Olympus 1000 Dice swaps the gems for dice that read fast on a phone, and Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000 is the one for the season. A budget, a stake or a buy-or-spin plan that suits one of them suits all three. The side-by-side charts, with the 2021 original and the 50,000x Super Scatter edition added, are on the Gates of Olympus vs Gates of Olympus 1000 page.
